Statement of Suitability
I am suitable to serve as Polemarch of the Washington (DC) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. because my leadership experience has prepared me to guide the Flagship Chapter with grit, accountability, and fidelity. Over the past two years, I have served under Polemarch Donald Greenwood, gaining a strong understanding of chapter management. I supported the Polemarch’s vision, oversaw more than 20 committees, and led our annual retreat to keep our programming, financial planning, and operations aligned.
I helped secure our Home Equity Line of Credit, which combined with our tax abatement allowed us to begin essential renovations to our Historic Kappa House. My undergraduate leadership as Eastern Province Junior Vice Polemarch and Polemarch of Kappa Chi, along with multiple roles in the Flagship Chapter, has given me a clear understanding of Kappa’s life cycle across undergraduate and alumni experiences. I have built meaningful bonds with Brothers across generations, strengthening my commitment to leading with honor and humility.

Protect and renovate the Historic Kappa House through transparent oversight, fiscal discipline, and responsible stewardship balancing preservation and long‑term maintenance.
Expand our impact in Guide Right, community service, and Brother development by securing resources to serve more young men, support DC residents, grow Kappa League and undergraduate programming, and strengthen reclamation and retention through quarterly listening sessions.
Modernize chapter operations while honoring our legacy by improving efficiency, expanding fundraising, reducing costs for Brothers, implementing an annual calendar, innovating with events like the 1708 Cigar Lounge and Bourbon & Cocktail, and preserving traditions like the return of the Easter Dawn Dance.
Deepen Brotherhood while strengthening Grand Chapter and Eastern Province engagement by bridging gaps among alumni, undergraduates, and seasoned Brothers; submitting strong award applications; and supporting Brother Jenkins’ candidacy for Grand Polemarch.
